This course provides a practical introduction to the principles, practices, and tooling that underpin modern DevOps environments. It explores how DevOps enables faster, more reliable software delivery through automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Participants will gain an understanding of Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and Continuous Deployment, and how these practices fit together within a DevOps operating model. The course examines how CI tools automate build and test pipelines, how Docker enables repeatable and portable application deployments, and how Kubernetes orchestrates containerised workloads at scale. The course also introduces Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and concludes with an overview of serverless computing as a deployment and operational model within DevOps-driven organisations.
Pre-requisites: Basic software development skills – A general understanding of application deployment practices (No prior DevOps experience is required.)
